We are looking for a Network Administrator to join our technology team at (BUNA) The Arab Regional Payments Clearing and Settlement Organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Security Design and Development

  • Develop and configure new systems within cloud and physical infrastructure.

  • Participate in the design of security centric network and infrastructure solutions.

  • Ensure technical solution/design alignment with established security policies.

  • Secure network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation, and maintain documentation.

  • Maintain security baseline requirements for all IT systems.

Network Maintenance and Improvement

  • Maintain existing software and hardware and manage all required upgrades.

  • Install, configure, and test infrastructure and network equipment and establish / maintain network connections as per requirements and specifications.

  • Implement disaster recovery to minimize downtime and ensure network resilience in case of failures or disruptions. Perform advanced programming system automation through scripting.

Performance Management and Quality Assurance

  • Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting network problems, and escalating problems to vendors.

  • Tune infrastructure performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure with a focus on industry best practices.

  • Participate in the exploration of new technologies and proof-of-concepts.

  • Recommend, review, and implement new technology solutions.

Network Support

  • Provide day-to-day 2nd and 3rd level engineering support to the operations team.

  • Lead problem management and regular troubleshooting efforts in resolving infrastructure issues.

  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware/software maintenance, and support.

Operational Management

  • Create and maintain documentation. Perform daily IT tasks as assigned.

  • Coordinate with vendors to develop, test, evaluate, and install new hardware and software in addition to upgrades.

  • Manage multiple vendors in the overall implementation of infrastructure projects.

  • Develop and implement appropriate policies and standard operating procedures aligned to established policies and frameworks.

  • Design and develop infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools, prioritizing monitoring, alerting, and routing of alerts for infrastructure and services.

  • Ensure adherence to availability requirements in contractual SLAs.

  • Participate in the procurement processes of infrastructure products and services.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience and Education

  • 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, electronic engineering, or a similar discipline.

  • CCNP, CCIE in Security or Routing and switching and other certifications.

Skills and Knowledge Areas

  • Proficiency in routing and switching technologies, including configuration, and troubleshooting of routers (e.g., Cisco ISR, ASR) and Catalyst switches series.

  • Understanding of dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.

  • Experience with VLANs, STP, HSRP, VRRP, and other switching technologies.

  • Experience with Cisco Nexus technologies, such as vPC and VDC is preferable.

  • Expertise in Palo Alto firewall solutions, including configuration of Multi–Virtual Systems, security policies, NAT, VPNs, and threat prevention is preferable. 

  • Knowledge of Palo Alto Networks Panorama for centralized management.

  • Skills in configuring and managing security zones and policies.

  • In-depth knowledge of F5 BIG-IP platforms, including LTM (Local Traffic Manager), GTM (Global Traffic Manager), ASM (Application Security Manager), and iRules.

  • Configuration and optimization of F5 load balancers for application delivery and high availability.

  • Understanding of virtualization concepts and experience with VMware NSX-T for software-defined networking (SDN).

  • Implementation and management of NSX-T components, including logical switches, routers, and security services is preferable / Integration of NSX-T with other VMware products and solutions.

  • Ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient network architectures.

  • Strong knowledge of network security best practices and compliance requirements, as well as ISO 27001:2022.

  • Experience in implementing security measures across F5, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and NSX-T environments.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues in complex network environments.

  • Familiarity with packet-level analysis and debugging tools.

  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

  • Thorough documentation skills for maintaining network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.

  • Relevant certifications from F5 Networks, Cisco (e.g., CCNP), Palo Alto Networks (e.g., PCNSE), and VMware (e.g., VCP-NV) can validate expertise.

Languages

  • Fluent in English and Arabic

  • Knowledge of French is a plus
