Introduction
This survey aims to gather comprehensive insights on the adoption and implementation of supervisory technology (Suptech) across financial authorities within the Arab region. Your participation will help shape the understanding and development of Suptech, providing valuable data for the joint report between the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) and the University of Cambridge SupTech Lab.
In addition, the survey findings will serve to diagnose and prioritise capacity building and technical assistance activities dedicated to Arab countries. Moreover, a joint report on the “Status of SupTech in the Arab region” will be derived based on the general survey findings.
The survey responses will offer valuable insights into how financial institutions prioritise governance, data journey optimisation, collaboration and capacity building, and strategic future considerations.
Survey coverage:
The survey is intended to cover financial authorities with mandates and responsibilities for supervising various financial entities and activities, including central banks, capital market authorities, securities exchanges, and insurance regulators.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
The analysis and reporting of the data will be conducted on an aggregated and/or anonymised basis.
Definition of Suptech
Suptech encompasses applying technology and data analysis solutions to augment a financial authority’s capabilities to oversee financial markets and use supervisory data to enhance market players’ outcomes. Suptech applications are used by financial authorities to access more granular, diverse, timely and trustworthy data to improve operational efficiency and generate previously unattainable insights, thus improving decision-making.
It would be great if you can fill in the survey through the below link by end of January 30th, 2025
