Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Council of Arab Central Banks and Monetary Authorities Governors will hold the 46th ordinary session meeting and the high-level roundtable workshop on “Central Bank Digital Currencies and the Future of the Monetary System,” on Sunday and Monday, September 18-19, 2022, respectively, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Jeddah, KSA, hosted by the Saudi Central Bank.
To ensure the success of the meeting and the workshop and to provide all comfort amenities to their Excellencies governors, delegates and participants, we would like to inform you of the following procedures that have been taken in coordination with the Saudi Central Bank:
- Travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The participants in the meeting and the workshop will arrange their travel and hotel accommodation. Regarding entry visas, the Saudi Central Bank will arrange for the issuance of the visa document to help the participants obtain an entry visa to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from the Kingdom’s embassy or consulate in their respective countries. In case of the absence of a diplomatic mission, the visa will be issued at your nearest consulate or embassy.
- Venue and Time of the Meeting:
The Council meeting will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Sunday, September 18, 2022. The high-level roundtable workshop will be held at the same hotel on Monday, September 19, 2022. Both events will start at 8:30 AM.
- Other Activities:
-The Saudi Central Bank will hold a gala dinner on the evening of Saturday, September 17, 2022.
-The Saudi Central Bank will arrange Umrah for participants wishing to perform Umrah on September 18, 2022. There will be three times (options), noting that the Saudi Central Bank will provide all Umrah essentials such as Ihram clothing and snacks after completing Umrah.
- Meeting Badges:
Badges for the meeting and the workshop will be provided to their Excellencies heads and members of delegations and the rest of the participants. For security and networking purposes, all participants are kindly requested to wear these badges throughout the meeting.
